  The national scientific conference entitled "80-year outline on Vietnamese culture - Origin and Motivation for Development” was held at the International Convention Center (Hanoi) in the morning of February 27. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council attended and gave a speech at the conference.   In Ho Chi Minh thought, education and training of the revolutionary morality for cadres and party members have occupied important position and role and it has always borned the current affairs character.

• “Communist Party of Viet Nam is just an organisation of its own” – A wrong argument

  Currently, some people says that “the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) is just an organisation of its own, or of the working class, it is not a Party of the labouring people and entire nation of Viet Nam; therefore, it is not a worthy leader of the country”. In fact, this trick is aimed at distorting our Party’s working-class nature, demeaning and removing our Party’s leading and ruling roles; thus, it should be unmasked and neutralised.

• Building truly transparent, strong, regular, elite and modern people’s police forces, meeting requirements and tasks of maintaining social order and safety in new situation

  Having promoted the fine revolutionary nature and glorious tradition for the past 60 years (July 20, 1962 - July 20, 2022), the People’s Police Forces have always been absolutely loyal to the Party and State, and devoted themselves to serving the Fatherland and the people, successfully completing assigned tasks, deserving to be “a sharp precious sword”, “a solid steel shield” and the core force in the fight against crime, ensuring social order, discipline and safety.

  The Institute of Economics in collaboration with the Center for International Knowledge Sharing, under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), held a scientific seminar on “Better Fiscal Policy for Reducing Poverty and Increasing Shared Prosperity” in the morning of February 16, 2023 in Hanoi. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Nghia, General Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Deputy General Director of the Institute of Economics co-chaired the seminar.

  President Ho Chi Minh repeatedly highlighted the youth’s vital part in national destiny. Accordingly, "the prosperity or poverty, weakness or power of a country are largely attributed to the youth"(1). At any stage of the revolution, under any circumstance, Vietnamese youth spare no efforts to fulfill their historical mission.

  The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) in collaboration with the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee held a scientific workshop entitled "Improving the quality of grassroots Party organization and Party members - Theory and practice” in the afternoon of February 3, 2023 in Vinh Yen city. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, HCMA President, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council attended and chaired the workshop.

  A book by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong regarding the fight against corruption and other negative phenomena was officially released at a ceremony in Hanoi on February 2.

• Multilateral diplomacy – development perspective and vision in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress

  Multilateral diplomacy is no longer a new terminology in contemporary international relations both in theory and reality. However, the correct awareness of multilateral diplomacy, thereby making adequate policies and behavior is considered a long process. Vietnam is one of the few countries that has been aware of multilateral diplomacy since its early days and, at the same time, has used multilateral diplomacy relatively effectively and in line with reality, especially since the 21st century until now.

  The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) had a meeting in Hanoi on January 12 with leaders of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations, Foreign Ministry, and Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations as well as 100 ambassadors, diplomats and head of international organizations and international development cooperation agencies on the occasion of the 2023 New Year and the Vietnamese “Tet” Tradition New Year. Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of HCMA and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council chaired and gave his opening speech at the event. • International Seminar “Vietnam – India Economic Exchange: Opportunities and Challenges”

  In the morning of December 28, 2022, Center for Indian Sudies of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) in cooperation with Hanoi Vietnam-India Friendship Association (Havifa) and the Embassy of India in Vietnam organised an international roundtable on “Vietnam-India economic exchange: Opportunities and challenges” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India (1972 - 2022). Assoc, Prof, Dr. Duong Trung Y, HCMA Vice President made his welcome speech at the seminar. 

• Conference "Propaganda activities to protect the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views in the new situation from the reality of centrally-run cities and provinces”

  The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) held the scientific conference entitled "Propaganda activities to protect the Party’s ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views in the new situation from the reality of centrally run cities and provinces" on December 26, 2022. Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, Vice President of the Academy, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Academy's Steering Committee 35 attended and chaired the conference.

• Scientific conference “Developing socio-economy, ensuring defence and security in Nghe An province until 2030, vision to 2045”

  The Central Economic Commission cooperates with the Central Theoretical Council and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held the conference “Developing socio-economy, ensuring defence and security in Nghe An province until 2030, vision to 2045” on December 20th in Hanoi. 

• Scientific seminar on “Leadership in the public sector”

  The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) in collaboration with the Australian Embassy in Vietnam held a scientific seminar titled “Leadership in the public sector” in the afternoon of November 9th. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Academy attended and chaired the seminar.

• Building and rectifying the Party to be transparent, strong and comprehensive – The profound and passionate content in the book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

  The book titled “Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path towards socialism in Vietnam” written by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong deals with several extensive theoretical and practical issues in various fields. Building and rectifying the Party to be transparent and strong is a great content intensively, profoundly, comprehensively and passionately mentioned in numerous writings and speeches by the General Secretary.

• Party leader urges Party Central Committee to seek new measures for implementing major issues

  Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong stressed that many major issues have been implemented for a long time but the results have not met expectations, thus requiring new resolve and new measures to address them at a different scale to meet the requirements of the new situation.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of HCMA, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council attended and chaired the workshop.

  On the afternoon of September 5, in Vinh city, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Propaganda and Training Commission and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee jointly organized a scientific conference on “Comrade Le Hong Phong - a resilient communist soldier, an excellent leader of the Vietnamese Party and revolution”, in commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the comrade’s birthday.
