International integration has brought various benefits to Vietnam but also caused many problems for its economy. One of those problems is the market abuse of transnational companies, state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, including enterprises for the public utility. How to effectively control market manipulation behaviors and effectively combine promoting market centralization with controlling market abuse in the period of economic transformation in Vietnam, thereby proposing solutions to complete undertakings, guidelines, policies, laws, contributing to the realization of the goal of wealthy people, powerful country, democracy, justice and civilization is an urgent issue that needs to be studied.

Issues related to anti-market manipulation in the period of economic transformation in Vietnam towards building a socialist-oriented market economy are clarified in the book entitled “Solutions to prevention of and fight against corruption in the current socialist-oriented market economy of Vietnam” edited by Dr. Dao Ngoc Bau, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Structured in three chapters, the book refers to the theoretical basis and the actual situation of preventing and combating market manipulation in the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam; offering some international experiences on market manipulation in the market economy. Hence, it proposes solutions to prevention of and fight against market abuse in the market economy in Vietnam.

From the perspective of law and economics, with a systematic approach, especially with rich and valuable reference materials in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, the book is definitely a useful reference for scientists, lecturers and students in the research on prevention of and fight against market abuse in general, anti-market manipulation in some economies and in the socialist-oriented market economy of Vietnam in particular.
