During his life and revolutionary career, President Ho Chi Minh not only wrote many news stories but also proactively and actively met and answered interview questions (in person, by post and telegram) given by reporters and representatives of domestic and international media.

He considered it as a very important channel to let people in the world understand the situation, guidelines, and policies of the Vietnamese Party and State; thereby gaining international consensus and support.

President Ho Chi Minh had independent theoretical thinking, deep understanding of the world’s situation and the reality of Vietnam, strategic vision, and wisdom to make political decisions as well as the ability to ingeniously deal with the relationship between class and nation, between long-term idealistic goals and specific purposes. During interviews, he always took the initiative and clearly expressed the stance and views of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people on various aspects and topics: from domestic issues to international issues; from domestic policy to foreign policy; from politics, economics, society to security and defense.

Besides, his answers were all short, easy to understand, concise, and straight to the the point. He did not avoid but flexibly handled questions on sensitive issues. It can be said that President Ho Chi Minh’s intellect reached a high level when he wrote articles and answered interviews.

The National Political Publishing House published this book to provide one more research material on ideologies, morality, and style of President Ho Chi Minh as well as to communicate about his life and revolutionary career.

The book consists of articles and interviews with President Ho Chi Minh conducted by reporters of domestic and international media. They were compiled from a 15-volume book series named Ho Chi Minh Complete Collection issued by the National Political Publishing House in 2011.

The 128 interviews in the book are lessons that never get old, serving as valuable experiences for journalists and those who regularly interact and have interviews with the media.
