Attendees of the ceremony were HCMA Vice Presidents: Assoc. Prof, Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac; Assoc. Prof, Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam and Assoc. Prof, Dr. Duong Trung Y; Assoc. Prof, Dr. Pham Minh Tuan, Director, Chief Editor of Truth National Political Publishing House; representatives of leaders of the HCMA units; lecturers, class management board and all students of the training class.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed that, from recent practice, with the consent of the Standing Secretariat, the Prime Minister and other central departments and ministries, with the HCMA’s active preparation, the first training class for political theory lecturers was opened to standardize and improve the quality of cadres and lecturers at HCMA and political schools of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government and other political theory training institutions of the Party and State.

 Overview of the ceremony

Affirming the special attention of the HCMA Board of Directors for this training class, Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that, in training and fostering, HCMA not only focused on students, but also paid special attention to the teaching staff. Good lecturers are prerequisite for students to study well. With qualified, passionate, responsible, methodical and inspired teachers, students will become future teachers who are well-trained, qualified, idealistic, brave and capable, intellectual, possessing skills and methods to participate in the training and fostering of leaders and managers at all levels in the political system. Therefore, Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang required that in the training of political theory lecturers, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the motto of being systematic, basic, practical and modern, so that the future teaching staff can improve their quality, capacity, methods and style in teaching political theories.

With that spirit, he hoped that both teachers and students attending the training class for political theory lecturers would do their job well. Teachers with a career enthusiasm and solid and sharp theoretical knowledge will impart their knowledge, experience, passion, research and teaching inspiration to students. Students who positively and actively study and practice well will be confident in class and become the next force capable of being good lecturers in political theories after the course. This course will serve as a basis for building the training program of political theory lecturers not only for the Academy and the system of political schools of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, but also towards the unified training of political theory for lecturers at universities and colleges in the country.

Prof, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang believed that this course will be the initial step of training and fostering a contingent of lecturers of political theory for the Academy and political schools of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government. He urged related units to create good conditions, manage this class as a class for strategic planning cadres that have been held very successfully at the Academy in recent years.

Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang received flowers from the student representatives of the first training class for political theory lecturers.

On behalf of all students, Dr. Tran Thi Hong Le expressed her honor and pride to be among the first students of the training class for political theory lecturers, working and studying in the school named after Uncle Ho. She promised to strive to study, practice well, take advantage of every time, utilize all resources, promote initiative and self-awareness, turn the training process into a self-training process, learn with practice, associate basic knowledge with applied knowledge to successfully complete learning tasks, be worthy of trust and special attention of leaders of the Party Committee, Board of Directors of the Academy, generations of cadres and lecturers of the Academy.

The first training class for political theory lecturers includes 44 students (03 students with doctoral degrees, 37 students with master's degrees, 4 students with bachelor's degrees) selected among cadres and lecturers of HCMA and political schools of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government. The course program lasts for two years, with components of fundamental and basic knowledge, specialized knowledge, pedagogical skills, additional topics, practical research, pedagogical internship and graduation thesis.

On this occasion, the Truth National Political Publishing House presented the 13^th National Party Congress Documents and the accounts to access its e-book store to all students./.
