Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of regional academies, leaders of functional units, specialized institutes under the Academy and all 404 students attending the course.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Party Secretary, HCMA Vice President delivered a speech at the ceremony

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam affirmed that over 70 years of construction and development, HCMA has been consistent with the motto of being basic, systematic, practical and modern. The Academy has constantly innovated contents and programs in order to improve the quality of training and fostering staff, affirming its prestige and position as a national center for political theory research, for training and fostering middle and senior leaders and managers of the Party, State and socio-political organizations, for training post-graduate theorists in Marxist-Leninist theoretical sciences, Ho Chi Minh Thought and a number of humanities and social sciences.

Overview of the ceremony 

Expressing honor and pride at the achievements and results achieved by the Academy in training and fostering staff and scientific research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam suggested that all students must be deeply aware of the value and honor of being able to study and practice under the roof of the Party school named after Uncle Ho. Also, they need to constantly train political courage and revolutionary ethics; identify learning as an honor, an obligation, a right and a responsibility; well implement the motto of linking theory with practice, turning the process of training into process of self-training, self-research, initiative and creativity according to the suggestions and orientations of the lecturers; link the theoretical research process with the country’s reality; maximize positivity and self-discipline to turn into self-training process; respect and abide by the sense of discipline, manners, lifestyle, and the Academy's rules; seriously and actively participate in discussions and debates in learning and research, etc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam suggested that each individual student had to build his/her own study plan right from the beginning, arrange time, work, focus on studying and researching to successfully complete the entire course's tasks.

For fellow lecturers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam proposed to continue updating the lecture content on the basis of the Documents of the 13th National Party Congress and the Party Central Committee 13th Plenum; innovating teaching methods with the motto of taking students as the center, teachers as inspiration and motivation, and schools as the foundation; focusing on improving knowledge level, creative thinking capacity, closely and effectively combining training with practice, learning with practice; restructuring the lecture in the direction of enhancing exchange, discussion, and encouraging students to study and research by themselves; attaching importance to the formation of leadership, management, and problem-solving skill; well solving problems arising from practice.
