Leaders of the Party and State present flowers to congratulate the Executive Board of the Global Vietnam Young Intellectuals Network for the period of 2022-2024

Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Mr. Le Duc Tho, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee; Bui Quang Huy, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, first Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union; leaders of ministries, branches, localities and 180 young intellectual delegates from 22 countries and territories around the world.

First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Bui Quang Huy said that young Vietnamese intellectuals have been constantly making efforts, trying to learn, work creatively, and reach out to the continent and the world over the years. They have achieved important positions in the leading economic and scientific institutions in the world and asserted themselves, affirmed Vietnamese wisdom and identity to contribute to the homeland’s construction.

Delegates to the ceremony pressed the button to open the 5th Global Forum of Vietnamese Young Intellectuals, 2022

At this year's forum, delegates will focus on discussing the following topics: proposing growth models associated with economic restructuring and promoting rapid and sustainable growth; planning and solutions for effective and synchronous use of local, regional and national plans; promoting the role of young Vietnamese intellectuals in building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity and proactively and actively integrating into the world while improving the capacity of disease prevention and control in association with health system reform.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang warmly praised the pioneering spirit, creative efforts, great dedication and important contributions of the young Vietnamese intellectuals in the cause of construction, developing the country and defending the Fatherland.

The Party and State always listen to and appreciate creative ideas, breakthrough spirit, and enthusiastic recommendations in the process of participating in the formulation and implementation of guidelines and policies of national development and defense; always create the best conditions for intellectuals in general and young intellectuals in particular to continuously develop. At the same time, the Party and State hope that intellectuals, especially young ones, affirm and promote their role as an endogenous strength, a particularly important development resource of the country in the renovation period.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang shared with the team of young intellectuals 3 important messages about the spirit of learning and creativity, the will to commit to establishing a career and the desire to contribute to the country.

He also suggested that the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union continue to consolidate and promote the role of the global network of young Vietnamese intellectuals; proactively advise and propose to the Party, State and government committees at all levels on policies to attract and utilize talented people and use young intellectuals. It  should concretize and effectively implement the project "Discovering, fostering and promoting young Vietnamese talents in the period 2022-2030" which has just been approved by the Prime Minister. Also, it is necessary to continue programs and action plans for young intellectuals who are studying, living and working at homeland and abroad to effectively contribute to national construction and development and to protect the country.

The 5th Global Vietnam Young Intellectuals Forum, 2022 will last for 2 days on 11th and 12th of November ./.
