Attending the ceremony at the bridge point of HCMA were comrades in the Academy's Board of Directors; representatives of leaders of the Department of Personnel Training and Retraining, the Central Organization Board; representatives of leaders of functional units, specialized institutes under the Academy; representatives of students from advanced political theory classes working in Hanoi. At more than 3,000 affiliated points across the country, attending the closing ceremony were the Academy’s teachers, students of advanced classes in political theory of the part-time course K70, and the full-time course K71, and part-time learners from the advanced program in political theory of the complete course K71 for the 2020-2021 class.

The summary report of the school year 2020-2021 shows that in the academic year 2020-2021, HCMA had advanced programs in political theory with 23 classes of the full-time course (including one class under pilot training following off-campus model), 13 classes of the part-time course, and 14 classes of the complete course.

In the school year 2020-2021, under the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Academy quickly converted the teaching form from face to face to online, ensuring the completion of dual goals in the new context. The content of the lecture met the requirements of the content, program, viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and the State. The observance of training regulations and study discipline was strictly implemented; students fully attended their classes, participating in study, research, maintain rules and school discipline, paying attention to listen to lectures, actively speaking to contribute to lessons, and were recognized and highly appreciated by many lecturers.

 Closing ceremony for the school year 2020-2021 was held in live and online form. 

At the end of the academic year 2020-2021, there were 3,032 students of advanced political theory classes who were recognized to graduate and awarded advanced degrees in political theory, of which 360 students were classified as excellent and well trained. 107 students were awarded Certificates by President of HCMA, 31 students were awarded the Certificate by the Academy’s Party Committee for their excellent academic achievements and many contributions to the activities of the cell, 04 students were awarded the Certificate by the Academy’s Party Committee for their contribution in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, fighting against the wrong, hostile views. 

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of HCMA, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council affirmed that this was a very special closing ceremony, a memorable moment for each officer, lecturer, and student of HCMA. Making efforts to overcome many difficulties, challenges, and changes in order to respond flexibly in the context of the epidemic's unpredictable developments, the Academy's advanced political theory classes took longer than prescribed but successfully completed the proposed programs.

The work of renovating program content and updating knowledge in the spirit of the documents of the 13th National Party Congress and the spirit of the first session of the 15th National Assembly just taking place has been brought into focused and implemented early by the Academy. Although the Academy has just announced a new set of textbooks in the spirit of updating the documents of the 13th National Party Congress currently, since 2019, the Academy's leaders have directed the teaching staff when going to class to strictly follow the process of developing and finalizing the documents step by step by collecting opinions from grassroots party committees, provincial and municipal Party committees directly under the Central Government and the entire people so that this process would be updated in each lecture. In the management of students, the Academy has both tightened discipline and created favourable conditions, encouraging the self-discipline and self-management spirit of learners.

Praising and appreciating the efforts of all students, however, Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang said that the results achieved in the process of studying and training at the Academy were just the beginning. In the context of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic still being tense and complicated, many hostile forces taking advantage of it to distort and oppose the epidemic prevention and control efforts by our Party, State and people, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that Academy students must continue to clearly show their bravery, responsibility, intelligence, actively participate and successfully complete their tasks in agencies and units.

Sending a message to more than 3,000 students of the Academy across the country, especially students in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces, the Mekong Delta, Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized the spirit of fighting the epidemic as fighting the enemy, effectively fight against the epidemic, while not disrupting production activities, as well as other activities in all aspects of social life. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang believed that the Academy comrades will continue to fulfill their duties well before the Party, the State and people.

At the Closing Ceremony, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang highly appreciated the efforts of the staff and lecturers of the Academy, who have adapted well to the flexible adjustments of the Academy in training and fostering classes. Emphasizing that risk included opportunity, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang said, with the mandatory condition regarding complicated developments of the epidemic, setting requirements for the digital application and transformation, the Academy needs to pay more attention to soon perfecting the Academy's intelligent management model and drawing experience in how to organize online teaching to achieve higher efficiency./.
