The Academy of Politics Region I was established in 1953 from Party schools in the region. Set up in the resistance war against French colonialists, the academy was initially tasked with training district-level officials for the Party and the State, serving the resistance war and the national construction. Today, it has become a centre for training leaders and management officials of the Party, the State and socio-political organizations in northern localities, as well as central agencies and sectors under the arrangement of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

The Academy of Politics Region I was established in 1953 from Party schools in the region. Set up in the resistance war against French colonialists, the academy was initially tasked with training district-level officials for the Party and the State, serving the resistance war and the national construction. Today, it has become a centre for training leaders and management officials of the Party, the State and socio-political organizations in northern localities, as well as central agencies and sectors under the arrangement of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
The Academy of Politics Region I offers five-year concentrated training courses in higher education for students from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, focusing on politics, organization and inspection.
The academy also provides a 24-month non-concentrated postgraduate training programme in three majors of economic management, Party history and philosophy.
It boasts a 16-room library, with about 8,000 titles of books, 200,000 documents and over 300 newspapers and magazines, capable of serving more than 200 readers every day.

The Academy of Politics Region II was founded in 1949. Its forerunner was the Southern Party School (Truong Chinh School).
The academy is a training centre for key leaders and management officials and political theory and public administration researchers of the Party and the State as well as officials of socio-political organizations at district level and higher levels.
It is also a centre for the research of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Thought, as well as the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State, and political and administration sciences in the southern region.
The Academy of Politics Region II has a 21-room library with 5,000 book titles and over 200 newspapers and magazines, meeting the regular study and research need of more than 250 readers each day.

*ACADEMY OF POLITICS REGION III
The Academy of Politics Region III acts as a centre for the research of Marxist-Leninist Theory and Ho Chi Minh Thought, the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State, as well as political science.
Its teaching and learning facilities meet the requirements of a training centre for officials and scientific researchers in the central and Central Highland regions.
The academy has two halls with 700 seats in total, 16 lecture halls with about 1,200 seats, four conference rooms with each capable of accommodating 135 people, and four blocks for students with 229 rooms and 687 beds.
Its library, consisting of three reading rooms, can serve 250 readers at the same time. There are 45,000 books and 145 newspapers and magazines available at the library, together with more than 2,000 electronic documents and over 20,000 tables of articles from newspapers and magazines, meeting the need for references in learning, teaching and researching.

ACADEMY OF POLITICS REGION IV
Set up in 2006, the Academy of Politics Region IV provides political theory training courses for key Party and State leaders and officials as well as those in charge of political theory.
It is also a centre for the research of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Thought, the guidelines and policies of the Party and the law of the State, as well as political science, leadership and management sciences in the southwestern region.
Apart from organizing high-level political-administrative theory courses, the academy also offers training courses in inspection, supervision, organization, mass mobilization, popularization and education for leaders and managers in Mekong Delta localities.
The Academy of Politics Region IV has so far set up 16 out of 27 subsidiary units with 96 staff members, including 45 doctors and masters.

*ACADEMY OF JOURNALISM AND COMMUNICATIONS
The Academy of Journalism and Communications was established on January 16, 1962, originated from the Party Central Committee’s School for Popularization and Education. The academy is a key institution offering training for officials and lecturers in political theory, press-communications and ideology-culture as well as other social sciences and humanities.
The Academy of Journalism and Communications has a modern library system with many reading rooms and a diversity of books and documents, meeting requirements of students and teachers.
